Business events a big hit

Two major regional business events, organised and marketed by JBP, have proved a big hit.

Connecting with America, which was held at HP Labs and was designed to provide invaluable insights into doing business across the pond, attracted some 120 delegates. The event, which was supported by Continental Airlines and the Daily Telegraph Business Club, included presentations from Paul Kehoe, Chief Executive of Bristol International Airport; Peter Revers, former Chairman & CEO of Laura Ashley (North America) and now Chief Executive Officer of PDR Associates, a boutique specialist consulting firm focused on assisting foreign companies develop their US market presence; and Joan Verplanck, President of the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce, who is ranked in the New Jersey top 100 Power List.

JBP was responsible for all event management and marketing activities at the Connecting with America event.

JBP was also responsible for the event marketing of BETS Expo 2008, which was organised by Bristol City Council’s BETS (Bristol Environmental Technologies & Services Sector Initiative) team. The event, the first of its kind in the region, was designed to provide the perfect environment for gaining insights into business support provision, environmental technologies and services to enable greener business growth in the future. JBP was responsible for media relations, development of the event website and marketing collateral, sponsorship, telemarketing and the establishment of strategic marketing partners.
