JBP has marked the start of the new year with the unveiling its own art exhibition, thanks to its collaboration with the Royal West of England Academy. As part of the recently launched Art In Your Workplace initiative, the Academy in Queen's Road, Bristol, has loaned JBP a number of works of art from its archive which are now on display in JBP's boardroom. The mini exhibition was curated by Academy academician Simon Garden, who has also loaned JBP two of his own works.
Art In Your Workplace was conceived by the Academy's Business and Art Initiative which was founded and is chaired by JBP Director Karen White. She said: "The scheme allows wider enjoyment of some of the region's best artistic talent and is also encouraging the city's business community to work more closely with the Academy, which has played a critical role in establishing Bristol and the South West as a pioneer in the arts world for the past 150 years. The Academy has many works of art that it does not have room to display so this is a marvellous opportunity to get them out of the archive so they can be appreciated."
