Parliamentary Affairs

The JBP PR office in London is home to our specialist research division, Westminster Parliamentary Research.  The WPR team provides bespoke research on business critical policy and legislative changes for JBP PR clients.

With a strong background in parliamentary, legal and international affairs the team provides a range of research services, including:

  • Bespoke research – from identifying key political stakeholders to highlighting the latest developments in government policy and legislation
  • Political insights from set-piece political events such as the Budget; Queen’s Speech; and major legislative announcements
  • Targeted political monitoring with a focus on keeping abreast of forthcoming political developments of interest to our clients – including providing intelligence on likely publication dates of key political statements such as Bills and White Papers.

The Westminster Parliamentary Record is a subscription database of all 650 MPs; plus all those MPs who lost their seats or retired at the 2010 General Election, together with current members of the House of Lords.

The Record is currently utilised by a range of businesses and organisations including:

Smith Square Review

The Smith Square Review is a newsletter that provides a light-hearted review of the week’s political events.  It helps to explain some of the headlines of the week with some added insight behind the news.  It also includes some interesting or amusing stories relating to some of the Parliamentary business over the week.
