The architect, Eric Parry has unveiled plans for ‘One Undershaft’ which could become the tallest tower in the City of London. At 73 storeys, it would be just shy of the height of the Shard. It would be designed to accommodate office workers during the week, but would also have a viewing gallery and sky-high restaurant on the top floor.
The architect said that the development will be in use seven days a week, and added that the building “will set new standards for the City in terms of comfort, quality, environmental sustainability and putting the public at the heart of the tower.”
The developer, Aroland Holdings, is due to submit plans to the City of London early next year.
