Bristol-based strategic communications consultancy JBP Associates have been appointed as the official public relations partner for the Bristol Housing Festival which launches later this month.

JBP’s role includes strategic communications planning for the launch, proactive media relations with local and national publications, social media content creation and video production.

James Hinchcliffe, JBP Strategic Engagement Director, said: “For over 30 years, JBP Associates has combined award-winning expertise in public relations, stakeholder engagement and public affairs to support housing developers to deliver homes and create new communities. Our company vision is to make a difference in a disrupted and connected world; the aims of the Bristol Housing Festival chime very well with these values.

“We’re delighted to be supporting Bristol Housing Festival in telling its exciting story – how daring to re-imagine and innovate can create better ways of living in the city that can be shown to the world. We look forward to working with the Festival team to drive its success and to demonstrate the creative side of our great and inspirational city.”

The JBP account team is led by Serena Ralston who has over 20 years’ experience in property communications, including working as both a journalist for the property press and as a PR for property consultancies, developers and public bodies.

Jez Sweetland, Project Lead of Bristol Housing Festival, said: “From tech to modular homes and different ways of being a community, there is so much to share about how the UK’s housing challenges can be re-imagined. With such a strong track-record in public relations over the past 30 years, JBP were the natural fit as our communications provider as we seek to communicate the Bristol Housing Festival launch in an imaginative and impactful way.”

The appointment caps an exciting few months for JBP with a combination of significant new client wins, the appointment of a new Head of Design, and an office move from its previous HQ on Whiteladies Road to Castlemead in the city centre.
