JBP scoops two awards at National Grid Property Awards 2014

JBP was the recipient of two accolades at the annual National Grid Property Awards, picking up both Best Stakeholder Engagement and Most Considerate Awards at last week’s awards.
JBP’s contribution to National Grid’s Education programme, School Power, won the award for Best Stakeholder Engagement. Educating young people in communities affected by National Grid’s work has far reaching positive impacts; reducing site intrusions, improving safety at the site gate from passing children and demonstrating to community leaders National Grid’s commitment to being a good neighbour.
During 2013, JBP’s community relations team educated over 300 children and young people through the School Power programme.
The most considerate project of 2013/14 was awarded to the programme of gasholder demolition in the last 12 months. JBP’s community relations strategy supporting demolition projects across South East England, managing and enhancing National Grid’s reputation during sometimes disruptive and very visible activity.
Nicola Beech, Senior Account Director commented on the double win: “Naturally we were thrilled to win both PR related awards with each category representing the varied community relations projects we support National Grid”.
The National Grid Property awards are held each year to recognise exceptional projects and excellence with their supply chain.
