JBP team running in Bristol 10k to raise awareness of Empower: Access to Medicine

Members of the JBP team taking part in this year’s Bristol 10k on 5th May will be running to raise awareness of the campaign Empower: Access to Medicine.
The campaign aims to empower patients, policy makers, academics and the pharmaceutical industry to change the drug development process in order to speed up the delivery of life-saving and life-enhancing medicines to people with life-threatening and rare illnesses.
Empower was founded by Les Halpin, a successful statistician and MND sufferer, who hopes that by facilitating expert debate and discussion, online collaboration and sharing of best practice, it will drive the issue higher up both the political and media agenda.
The petition to accompany the campaign, launched in February already has over 1000 signatures.
