This month witnessed the 4th annual Worldcom Youth Meeting in Budapest, so when JBP Digital Account Manager Jack Showell was given the chance to attend he jetted off to take part in the meeting.

Designed to share skills, experience and pass on some best practice tips, the four day conference is a great learning opportunity for the next generation of WorldCom PR leaders.

JBP is a member of the Worldcom Public Relations Group, the world’s leading partnership of global public relations firms, with more offices in more countries than any other multinational firm.

Jack presented a JBP client case study on the social media strategy and implementation for Hotcha – the UK’s first and fastest growing Chinese takeaway chain to the group. Members were later tasked with producing a PR plan to introduce Ustream, the world’s leading live video streaming service, to Western Europe worked with a team from Hungary, Germany and Italy.

Jack said: “The meeting was a fantastic opportunity to travel to Budapest and meet our Worldcom colleagues from across Europe. The event gave me the chance to understand how we work across Europe and the work that our counterparts produce in their native countries.

“I would like to thank Andras and Zsófi from Probako Communications for organising the event and for being such wonderful hosts. If you are young and ambitious in the world of PR I highly recommend you attend next year’s meeting!”

Through Worldcom, clients have on-demand access to in-depth communications expertise from professional public relations specialists who understand the language, culture and customs of the geographic arenas in which they operate. The group is the world’s leading partnership of independently owned public relations firms, with 110 offices in 95 markets, across six continents.
