JBP has been appointed by Quantum Property Partnership, a joint venture between Quintain Estates & Development plc and Aviva Investors, to provide communications support for the next phase of growth for the Bristol and Bath Science Park.
The Park, which was opened in 2011 by David Willetts, the then Minister of State for Universities and Science, has established itself as a leading facility for the development of science and technology businesses. Today it is home to 40 such enterprises – from green technology companies to medical research and development firms
JBP will be responsible for providing public relations, stakeholder engagement and government affairs. A major focus of the communications programme will be launching a new vision for the next phase of development for the Science Park.
Strategic Asset manager for Quantum, Adam Ward, said: “We want to realise the full potential of Bristol and Bath Science Park by building on what’s already been achieved to date and establishing a science and technology powerhouse here in the West of England, which will support sustainable economic growth locally, regionally and nationally for years to come and be a global model for Science Parks.
“JBP with their media, regional stakeholder and political connections are ideally placed to support Quantum in achieving their strategic objectives and taking the Science Park into the next stage of its development.”
Catherine Frankpitt, Associate Director at JBP, added: “These are exciting times for the Science Park and we are delighted to be involved in supporting its future expansion. We will be looking to maximise our media, business, education and political networks for the long term benefit of the Science Park.”
