It’s all hands to the pump this week at JBP as the team counts down to the launch of The Royal Bath & West’s flagship event The Royal Bath & West Show which runs from Wednesday 30 May until Saturday 2 June.
Founded in 1777, the show is England’s only Royal four day show and attracts 150,000 visitors, more than 10,000 competitive entries from livestock to cheese and offers visitors four miles of trade stands to enjoy.
A large part of JBP PR Parliamentary Affairs brief is to attract new audiences to the show, going it beyond the success it reaps within the region’s farming community. New for this year is the Festival of Baking, which will see Edd Kimber, a former winner of The Great British Bake-off, and other experts share tips, and hold demonstrations and book signings.
Other attractions include extreme sports like horseboarding, a high wire motorcycle act, gundog challenges, show jumping, falconry, milking demonstrations and a giant robot!
Other highlights include a chance to experience the good life with milking demonstrations, chicken feeding and egg collecting. The region’s snappiest female dressers also have the chance to show off their frocks for Ladies Day on Friday, June 1.
