JBP’s ‘WEbuildourfuture’ social media campaign nominated for award

A three month social media campaign devised by JBP to engage local people in a major public consultation exercise has made it to the finals of the regional PRCA awards.

The ‘WEbuildourfuture’ campaign set out the ambitions of the West of England’s four local authorities for new housing and transport infrastructure over the next 20 years through their Joint Spatial Plan and Joint Transport Study.

The campaign used digital methods to engage with hard-to-reach people and drive them towards to the consultation website, ensuring that the councils consulted widely and captured a broad range of views. The social media strategy allowed the campaign to address the complexity of the proposed future scenarios in an informative yet easily digestible manner.

The results of the consultation are currently being analysed and will help inform the further development of the Spatial and Transport Plans for the region.

The award winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on June 2nd.
