What brought you to JBP?
In February 2017 I joined JBP as an intern, having graduated with a BA Hons in English Literature from the University of Bristol and keen to put my communication skills to practise in the city that I loved.
I was interested in how good communications could make a real impact, from within local communities, to wider industries and business sectors. JBP offers a fantastic range of work - bringing together stakeholder engagement, community relations, PR and public policy.
You can develop your skills across all different types of communications and gain first-hand experience of these combine to achieve impressive results.
Tell us about your role:
No two days are the same. I enjoy working on a wide range of PR, stakeholder engagement and reputational management clients, from First West of England to the UK Vaping Industry Association.
Day-to-day this involves media and stakeholder relations, content creation and social media campaigns – as well as getting out to client events and engaging with communities for projects across the UK.
How does Alex make it brilliant?
Community Engagement / Digital Campaigns / Media Relations / Reputational Management
And finally, what do you do in your spare time?
Spend as much time outdoors as possible - if I’m not in the sea or up a mountain then you’ll find me with friends in one of Bristol’s many bars or having dinner in the park with a good book!
