James is Managing Director of JBP’s London office and oversees all public policy and engagement work. He is experienced at devising and implementing political communications programmes as well as producing a wide variety of analytical policy papers on political developments. He is a regular commentator on political issues and was interviewed by BBC Radio 4 The World Tonight to discuss the 2015 General Election. In recent months he has spoken about the impact of Brexit to business leaders both in the UK and across the EU.
He has prior experience working in Parliament – firstly in the Policy Research Unit where he produced briefings on a range of policy issues for Conservative MPs and Peers – and then latterly for Jeremy Wright MP. His time in the Houses of Parliament equipped him with an in-depth knowledge of the workings of Westminster, Whitehall and EU institutions.
Outside of work, James is a Freeman of the City of London and can mainly be found either on a golf course, sampling decent wine and beer, or at the Oval watching cricket.
